Question How quickly can water destroy injectors?

I'm starting to think I may have obtained about 5-7 gallons of bad fuel that was used to top off the tank to full. The fuel was added and the following day I noticed that the truck began to start a little slower. Sometimes it fires right off and other times it seems to take about an extra second to start.

If the fuel has a decent amount of water, say some decent water and or other contamination in only 5-7 gallons of a full tank, could it wipe my injectors? Or at least do decent damage to them?

Or could I expect the problem to also clear up once the fuel has all been run through the engine, etc?

Thanks

Get you some power service that has water remover treatment in it and add to the tank you should be fine. Diesel 911 or clear diesel fuel and tank cleaner
