Rear axle swap : 2000 6.8 axle c1 (3.73LSD) into 2003 7.3 srw axle 41 (3.73 Open)?

I have a 2000 6.8 f250 that I'm going to be selling with axle c1 3.73 led.
I have a 2003 7.3 f350 with axle code 41 3.73 open I am going to keep.
Can I take the rear diff from the f250 and put it in the f350?

Will it work folks?

I noticed the axle code for f250s is c1 3.73 led and 31 3.73 open.
but for f350 srw it is d1 3.73 led and 41 3.73 open.

Wondering if there really is a difference in the internals or covers that might lead to this code difference. Someone on the forms mentioned the 7.3s might have fins on the covers or something like that but would he internals switch?
