Testing for front end issues?

I raised the passenger side and tried moving the wheel from 3 to 9 and it was tight, went 6 and 12 and there was a decent amount of play...so what component is usually an issue when going from 12 to 6?

I know the feeling I go through them pretty often. I am hoping I can do the dyna trac swap. Which converts back to the old style serviceable wheelbearings.

I only did the passenger side last time (same side thats bad again), why wouldn't the driver side go bad before the passenger again?
