Ol Blue

Ol Blue is my 2002 F-250 7.3L Powerstroke 4x4 with 238,000 miles on the clock.


Early last year around April I installed a set of stage 1 single shot injectors. In May one of those brand new injectors failed and destroyed the number 5 cylinder. Which made me replace the engine. The company stood behind there product, they replaced all the injectors with new ones. Plus they gave me a settlement.

I dealt with a local vendor. He helped me out a lot as well did the company that I got the injectors from.

So to date, I have installed a 7.3L powerstroke from a 98 E-350 van. I swapped out the turbo, the intake plenums, the up pipes, oil cooler, and engine mounts. Prior to install of the engine, I installed a Stealth Stage 1 HPOP. An Air Dogg 2 fuel pump system, S&B Intake, as well as those new stage 1 single shot injectors, new 4 inch turbo back exhaust.

Well I also ended up having to replace the turbo which I think was damaged by the injector failing because the shaft was broken. I got a stock used one from a local guy. He only put a few miles on it before going bigger.

Well I will say that I am now back on the road with Ol Blue. Today I just replaced the back bumper with a stainless steel drop bumper.

I must say over all I am very happy with the parts I have and how my truck runs.

I will not post the name of the local vendor because I do not think he is a sponsor on this site. I also will not post where the injectors came from due to the aggreement I made with them. If they wish to post up who they are then that is there choice.

But they were very fair and supportive during this whole thing.

Sucks that you can't post who it is. I always like to go through people that stand behind their product I hate when something fails and they just say oh you're screwed. Glad to know they helped you out tho with it. Hopefully everything holds together so you can enjoy the truck

It has been a long road and only a couple months shy of my truck breaking down. I even bought a 2000 F-150 after the truck broke down. Because I didn't know how long it would take me to get her back on the road.
