Question Gas Tank (CEL) Question

My Fuel gauge just dropped all the way down to empty (my tank is full) and my edge cts is reading the code P0460, which is something to do with the gas tank level or some ****. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Code - what it means - probable cause
P0460 - Fuel level sensor circuit malfunction - Open/short circuit, cluster, tank unit, open case GND

Hope that points you in the right direction

Thanks man, It happened while i was drving a few days ago when it was really cold, probably 10 degrees or so.. do you think that something got froze and stuck? i parked it in the shop overnight to try and thaw it out but that didnt work... Should i take the tank off or is it something on or outside/around the tank ?

Yeah, you may have to drop the tank to check the connections at the top -or- to remove the float mechanism to check to see if the float came off or ????

If you have a lot of fuel in there you may want to drive normally for a few days to burn some off - It'll be lighter than if full. Just a suggestion
