Standard boost levels on stock 7.3

I just bought a 2001 F350 4x4 with 170,000 miles and want to know what the turbo is supose to put out on a stock system? I have put gauges on it and at about 2300 RPMS with it floored I get about 15psi of boost. I am going through everything and want to make sure that everything is working properly befor I do any mods. Can any one tell me what boost level is the norm on the stock motor?

sounds about right without any mods.
My 99 with intake and exhaust will only hit about 18 and that is with a load going up a hill and being all over it. If you want more, just order a tuner of your choice. I'm sure others will be along to answer also.

How does the truck run otherwise? Do you see lots of black smoke? Could be a small boost leak.
