Question WHAT IS THIS NOISE?

I have a clunking sound from under the truck i think its on the driver side somewhere, not sure though. Its only when i go over bumps and rough roads. i recently got most of the front end redone last year so i don't know what it could be??

Possibly leaf spring shackle bushings.

Or sway bar end link bushings or the bushings on the sway bar to the axle

I was literally just about to post this same exact question! The only difference is, mine makes the clunking noise even when not on rough roads. It doesnt always make the clunk, only when I make sharp right hand turns. It comes from the front driver side, probably right around where the leaf springs connect to the frame. My brother says his truck does it sometimes and its a U-joint or something with the frame. I wasnt paying too much attention. I've read that it could be sway bar links, balljoints, u joints, or stuff with the leaf springs. Some people even said it could be a possible problem with the steering column?? Anything to do with bushings on the frame? I just noticed mine has been doing it recently as well and havent had a chance to look at it since its been raining. Mine only doe sit when its a sharp right turn. Kinda like a pop but I dont feel it in the steering wheel or anything

Yours sounds like a leaf bushing

Agreed. Stand on the front bumper and 'jump' on it. Have someone lay under the truck, that's how I figured out where the noise was coming from on my truck. It was the leaf spring shackle bushing on the drivers side.

Shackle bushings! I've been trying to track down a freaking clunk for a while and no one ever mentioned that. I kept looking at the sway bar.

The pivot bushings for the sway bar on the frame (look like a D shape) will make a suprising amout of noise. They're cheap and easy to change.
