Overhead console display

Okay I just Fixed my display that wasn't working and now it seems to be 100 miles to high on left till empty and I've tried to reset it by holding both buttons if that's right but just comes back the same and also says I'm getting 22mpg which I know isn't right...is there something I need to do to make it right just wondering if anyone has had this problem before!! Thanks

Resistors fall out, needing re soldering.
There's a fix it thread for those on here, but I can't ever find it.
The two button reset only resets your MPGs. And that 22 is probably from you driving easy right after a reset.

Have you checked the soldering mine was missing a resister put another one in there and it's working just not right with a empty tank mine says 120miles to empty so idk how to fix that

that's what I was thinking cause I wanted to see how accurate it would get even tho i know about everyone says they lie which is prolly right but I thought I saw somewhere that someone had the same problem as me but can't find it now go figure!! Lol.

As far as getting close to miles to empty, idk. Maybe reset the PCM?

Okay I will try that what would be the best way to reset it unhook the batteries?

Yea, unhook for a while. 15mins or so to make sure all the power has gone out of it. Maybe even an hour, and turn the key on to get rid of any power left in capacitors. Then hook back up, and let it relearn some stuff

Okay thanks for the help I will try that and hope it works I hate for someone who doesn't know any better to drive my truck a believe that thing and run out of fuel!!!LoL

I recently resoldered one and all works correctly except the compass, The thing will say CAL then just randomly start reading a direction and then start changing direction as if the truck was driving in a big circle and then back to CAL. I like the idea of a small decal over the compass but.......

Any ideas?
