blowing fuses....

2000 F-250 7.3

For some reason when the truck is almost out of fuel maybe a gallon or so it blows the glow plug wait to start fuse that reads in your dash... everytime i would put a new 30 amp it would pop so I just put a direct wire to fuse box in place of fuse starts right up shut motor off then replace wire with fuse this has happened twice both times the truck was just a little off camber but then went straight to the gas station haven't had a problem as long as I don't get to low on fuel is this some kind of safety feature It happened the first time on memoral weekend then one time since....

maybe a bad ground, some how tied into the low fuel light? i dont know really, just taking a stab at it.
i guess the easiest way is to keep plenty of fuel in it. getting down to a gallon scares me personally
