Buying my first Diesel! Need advice!

I am looking at a 2002 Ford F250 Powerstroke with 7.3 engine with 195K miles on it. It is a 4WD and is in excellent condition. It is a two owner vehicle and was primarly used as a work truck but only towed a boat every now and again. The asking price is 13K. Is this a good deal and if so, what else should I look for?

Excessive blowby or pressure, Brakes, jack up the front end and check the ball joints for play, any leaks, try the 4x4 on some dirt to make sure everything engages and dis engages as it is supposed to and just good old common sense! If it is a Lariat Crew Cab Auto and in good shape the asking price is fair in my opinion.

13k might be a tad high. Maybe 11k?
Basically maintenance regularly, and drive it to make sure everything works properly and nothing is crooked, clunking, or anything odd.

mainly as it was said check front end, trans, and 4wd. that price seems high but i am sure that what the kbb is. depending on the internals and the body i agree 10-11k would be a better price
