7.3 exhaust on V8 gasser

Will the OEM exhaust from a 2002 7.3 fit on a 1999 V8 gasser? Obviously the down pipe won't be used. Can it be done with a little modification. My buddy has some rusted out dual straight pipes and I would like to help him out.

With enough welding, anything is possible. Only thing I would worry about is the back pressure (or lack thereof).
