Question about gear oil

Would it be ok to use 85W-140 instead of 75W-140? I can't tell a difference, maybe someone can fill me in on the difference. I'm putting something in it tomorrow so I need some replies. Thanks. Also, my truck is a 99 F-350 SRW, how can you tell if it is limited slip, which I think it is?

I'm not sure about these trucks as they are new to me but I have a lincoln that required 75-140 and I used 85-140 when I switched out to 3.73 a few years ago with no ill effects.

wil not hurt a thing and your rear end is limited slip so might want to add some friction modifier in with fluid , need about 8-10 ounces
