Headlight Questions

1: Does anyone know where the DRL Module (Daytime Running Lamp) Module would plug in? I know the Canadian Versions had to have DRL's, or is it integrated into the headlight switch?

2: Can we modify the 2005+ headlight switch guts into ours to have an auto headlamp function? or a delay function? Or is it available already for our 99-03?

My truck came with DRLs. I don't remember where the module is, but I know to disable it, all I had to do was pull the fuse for it. (I hate DRLs)

For the autolamps, there is more to it than just the switch. There is also a light sensor, and if the Fords anything like the Jeeps, they also come on when the wipers are turned on.

My 03 has the auto headlamps.....see if you have the little bubble in the center of the dash. Alot of the trucks were all wired the same even if some didnt have certian features from the factory. If you have the sensor bubble on the center of the dash then your truck is likely wired for it and it shouldnt be much trouble to make yours auto.

The DRL module is located right next to the back of the driver side headlight,its a little box with a bunch of holes in it

I dont recall the Eye on the dash on my XLT. Ill look.

I call my truck a Lariat since it has leather and power everything, but it was actually born an XLT. Somebody added leather before I bought it. My 2000 doesn't have the eye on the dash.
