Forged rod question

I have PMRs in my truck sadly and plan on making a bunch of mods to my truck and will probably be making close to 500 hp. Obviously these rods will not hold up well. I was on craigslist and found a set of forged rods for $80 bucks. My two questions are is that a good price? They are about 8 hours from me so I will have to have them shipped. Also they are out of a 95 obs. Will they still work on my super duty? Thanks for any info.

Great price, I would check with a good machine shop just to make sure they will work. I seem to remember being told there were several different wrist pin diameters to chose from, when i needed to replace one. I took my bent rod th the machine shop and let them fine me a replacement, cost me 45 bucks.

Any way to know short of taking the rods out of the motor? The truck is still together at the moment I am just starting to gather parts right now and just happened to stumble across these.
