auto locks

I have read the few threads about how to fix the auto locks when they go out. But is it common for all four doors to go out. I just bought the truck and i new they didn't work when i bought it. So i don't know if they went out all at once or over time. but i was wondering before i go tearing into the doors. Could there be another root problem besides the actuators.

Thanks

The switch could be bad too. You can take apart the switch and clean it with some electrical contact cleaner.

When I finally did my actuators, I was down to 1 out of 4 doors that still worked.

I have to admit. I took the easy way out. I just put aftermarket actuators. To me that's a lot easier than rebuilding the oem actuators. I think I replaced 2 so far.
