Mirrors w/ Signal on an 00...Possible?

I've noticed some of you have put later model tow mirrors on an earlier truck. I was wondering if it's possible to put, for example, an 03 to mirror with the amber light on the edge on a 00 truck (no light). This is all in terms of making the existing connections compatible with the light.

Yes sir....I started out with the small power mirrors when I ordered my 2000. Since then, I have upgraded the mirrors 4 times. I just swapped out the 2005 style and put on the 2008+ style. They all bolt right up. You just need to do a little wiring to make the signals, marker lamps and heat to work.
