HELLO EVERYONE!!
Hi all!! I am new to the ORG. I am looking at buying a 99-03 PSD. I have a guy whos selling one inmy development, and I went to look at it. Its a 00 XLT F-250, Auto, 4x4, SWB, ex cab, Lariat. 281,000 miles, all power options, black and tan 2 tone ext. and tan leather int. The int. looks ok,60/40 split bench seat, no tears or anything, but it looks like the leather has kinda hardended a bit. The man wasnt home, so I dont know all the specifics. Manual locking hubs. tires will need replacing next spring it looks like. Hes asking 14, 900. I think thats entirely too expensive. I was thinking around 10K myself. Edmunds.com says its only worth 8900 and change for private party, and dealer value is just over 11k. Whats your guys's opinions on this truck? I will try to see if hes home later to drive it and see if there is anything thats rebuilt on it or such. Whats the best progeammer/chip out there? I was looking at the 6 position chip that mounts next to your guage pillar( cant remeber the name of it), it seemed like the best bet. I could get it at base price of 239 I think and I could add tunes to it for minimal cost, like 80hp econo, and even a 140hp extreme. Are the power packages that these places offer really worth the money? or is it easier to peice together a combo? Thanks for all the answers, and I am sure I will have bookoos more!!!!
Oh yeah: PSD's ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

welcome, let us know how it works out. the chips/ tuners are definately worth it for easy power/torque upgrades. exhaust would go good with a chip too!!!

Welcome to the .org!! And usually its easier to just piece it together if you don't mind used or ebay stuff... but - some of the vendors here could probably cut you a hella deal if you buy a "package" from them
that does sound a little too high for that truck... mine is an 01 Lariat Crew Cab 2wd with 92K miles when we bought it in March for 16K... anyway - Welcome to the .org! We're glad to have you here and let us know how it goes.. also - it is HIGHLY recommended to get guages before you do any programming! But, intake, exhaust, guages, chip is a good rule of thumb |
