2001 with airbag light on

I am looking at a 2001 f250 with the airbag light on. Truck is straight and carfax report has no accidents, what could cause the airbag light to come on?

Problem with the airbag maybe? Or the clock spring might do it. That's dangerous messing with that stuff.
Get an OASIS report on the truck if you can too and see if any warranty work has been done. Probably not much.

I would get it scanned with a quality scanner not the cheap trashy ones at any auto part stores.

If it's a regular or extended cab, it could be as simple as the plug on the off/on switch came loose.

Send a message via MSN to CanadianDiesel
I'll get some more details, but my brother had the same thing happen on his '03. Dealer said it was a bad sensor, and a 300+$ fix. My brother decided he could deal with a flashing yellow light in his dash.....
