00 f250 7.3l won't start. Help!
It wouldnt start and I spayed starting fluid and got it running for a sec then died.
I tried a new injector driver...no difference I just noticed the "water in fuel" light on in the dash Don't know anything about this truck and have never worked on them before any ideas on where to start? any easy way to drain the fuel on this? |

There is a yellow drain on the back of the fuel bowl. But if it won't start then the WIF light is gonna come on anyway with the key on.
Don't spray starting fluid if you haven't d/c the glow plugs. 1. - With key on, does the wait to start light come on? 2. - When cranking, does your tach move at all or sit at 0 RPM? Get back to us with those two first, then we'll go from there. And ![]() ![]()

There was probably some water in there but you also probably drained out the whole fuel bowl. You can just turn the key on and should hear the fuel pump running which is under the driver seat inside the frame rail. Turn the key on and cycle it once the pump goes off a few times and it'll refill that fuel bowl.
