Cat delete info..

I've searched and searched with little to no luck, does a cat delete actually gain anything? Like lower egts, mpgs, hp.. anything? Everything i've found is concerning the legality of it and where i'm at, no one cares.. I've done chopped out the muffler and have the 6637. Thanks ahead of time tho.

Definately helps. If you ever seen inside one you can see how insanely restricting it is. I gained about 1.5 mpgs deleting mine. But you should just go with a 4" exhaust if your looking for a drastic decrease in EGT. Deleting/hollowing the cat will help a little but the small downpipe is what is restricting the turbo.

Yeah I plan on doin either 4 or 5 inch but that'll be when funds allow. I can get the cat deleted for about 20 right now. Any pros or cons to the 5 inch over the 4?

5 is no gain over a 4" unless youre planning on going to 1000+ hp. And is also a lot louder and harder to install since its bigger and fits tighter. 4" has a nice rumble whether muffled or straight and drops your EGT something like 200+ degrees. Fairly cheap too.
