Factory Recall - Speed Control System Modification

Got a recall letter from Ford for a 09S09- Speed Control System Modification. Anyone have any info as to what this recall is about? Letter states that my truck has not had this recall done. Any help would be great.

I called my dealership, the guy said they would have it done by the time the paperwork was done when I came in. Haven't been yet.

If you don't get it done, your truck could possibly burn to the ground while parked. It literally takes 1 min to install, and most of that is popping the hood.

I got this recall yesterday

It is just a fuse installed to prevent overheating and fires. Has to do w/the cruise cntrl brake sensor d/c something or other. Just do it. Really fast.

What year or models does this recall cover? Jw, cause I haven't ever had a recall letter sent after buying a used car and have taken one in for the malfunction. (Wasn't a ford tho) lol

I still need to get mine done. Haven't had the time or availability of another vehicle lately to get it done.

It's fast. Took them longer to actually get it taken back there and such. And heck, they even just did it in the parking lot. Took 15mins max.
It's probably 99s+. Not sure how much newer they go.

I got the letter this week also.....Good to know they can still track me down for recall stuff....
