Steering stabilizer boot

Anybody know why I couldn't cut the ugly blue boot off my moog steering stabilizer? Would it dramatically shorten the lifespan of it?

Pitting from rocks and stuff hitting the actual dampening shaft, that would be the only negative could start leaking eventually that way if it's a hydro.

Hmm, decisions. The factory damper is exposed correct?

I would say the boot is there for a reason and unless you like paying for and replacing the stabilizers alot I would leave the boot on.
Pulling off the boot will probaly void the waranty making you have to pay for the replacement.
