Happy Holidays all! Just picked up a truck, and has some issues. Hope you can help?
It was a theft recovery. Ignition switch has been replaced, but engine will not turn over. Batterys are ok. Is there some sort of inertia switch on this vehicle? It's a 2001 f350 Super duty auto, with a Banks turbo. What wopuld be keeping power from reaching the ignition switch??

The inertia sw wouldn't prevent it from cranking, it's connected to the fuel pump relay.
Between the Ing sw and the starter is the neutral safety sw, starter relay, the starter solenoid, and the starter itself. You could see if there's 12v being sent to the solenoid on the starter, when you turn the key, and work from there maybe... |
