Transmission

I just got an 03 7.3 f250 4x4. I'm changing all the fluids on it and I was wondering how many quarts does the Trans take. It's an automatic 4 speed with over drive.

Thanks

Jordan

Depending on if you are draining the torque converter. I will not quote the quarts as i do not know if you have a deeper pan or not. You can check with the part store they can give you a good estimate on what you will need.

That is the best way other than using a machine which automatically refills the lost fluid as it is pumped out by the TC and not letting the machine pressurize anything.
Also, use DexIII.
