Road Gator Got me...
I'm not sure exactly when(Been driving my truck pretty heavy for work trips the past few weeks), but a freaking road gator took a proverbial "bite out of crime" on my inside DRW on the drivers side. Funny thing is i had absolutely no clue it was even flat. Hell, i've been towing all weekend long, and for all i know, it's been flat the whole time. I'm a little suprised how bad a job it did on the tire actually. It literally ripped a huge slice right out of the tire where it seals to the wheel. Oddly enough, it didn't touch the other tire(that could have been REALLY bad)
Anyways, I'm just going to pick up a used one down at the local tire store to last me through our winter, then throw on some new ones after winter(we have generally very mild winters here). I replaced the front two tires less than a year ago, so I'll replace the back four and be good to go for a while. What is the quietest highway tire that is E rated?!?! Any suggestions?! PS-Thank god for DRW!!! That would have been a complete nightmare stuck out in god knows where if it were only a SRW!!!:beer2: Pics to come tonight. |

I have some BFG commercials on right now. They have done really well. Good even wear, and they can be had for a little over $100 a piece. Check them out. I am wanting to get bigger ones, but hate to take these off since there are still in good shape.

I have Dayton Timberline Commercial E Rated tires in stock size. Got them for less than $600 for the set in the spring... (I have SRW)

I'm running Dayton timberline M/T's. They wear good, but you have to keep 'em rotated. They have a pretty aggressive tread.
