Another deer! Why me?!

It was two weeks yesterday since I picked my truck up from the body shop after a deer running into the drivers side which required a new front and rear doors as well as a front fender.

On my way home tonight another deer herd runs out of a corn field. Anticipating them I'm only running 45 - 50 mph and I stab the brakes hard. When I think I'm in the clear. WHAM! A deer runs into the passenger side of my box. Really hunters should get an unlimited tag and clean house!

You know it depends. I've been driving 16 years and now have 10 deer under my belt. My boss who is in his late 40's has never hit one. But my nieghbor hit 9 last year alone. I can tell you it's no fun. Just hearing the whack and gettin out to inspect the damage knowing it isn't going to be good.

I get asked that a lot. It's styled after a 6.4 but it isn't a 6.4 tip. I work for Spartan Chassis which mfg's fire trucks. When we were doing 2010 emission testing back in 2009 we tried a bunch of temp midigation tips to reduce heat but never tested with this one and it was tossed in the trash. I rescued it and it now lives a better life on my truck. It's a 4" inlet with dual 3 3/r outlets. It draws attention since most people are used to seeing a clean tip of this style. Mines all sooty.

On that note I hit a black lab mid summer. Maybe I should just stop driving.

I would just go out and buy a F650 and drive over the top of the deer.

I would love to hit one head on. Then I could get the 05 front end. In fact my wife even made that comment but they keep running into the side. WTH!

That sucks man.

I have been lucky.... I have had way too many close encounters with all my vehicles, car, truck, and scariest of all, motorcycle.

I haven't hit one... yet.
