Trailer Running Lights not working

Weird problem... Hope someone can help. All of a sudden, my running lights on my landscaping trailer stopped working. It's a new trailer - 2 months old. The brake lights on the trailer work, but no running lights. I hooked it up to a buddy's Dodge and the running lights worked, but the brake lights didn't. The tail lights on the trailer actually went out when he pressed the brake pedal. Those running lights have worked for the last 2 months, until today. I checked the round plug on my truck with a multi-meter. Touched the ground (8o'clock pos.) and the trailer brakes (5o'clock pos), had my friend hit the brake pedal, and it gave me voltage like it should. Did the same thing by turning the park lights off and on while touching the ground (8o'clock pos.) and the running lights (10o'clock pos), but I get nothing. Even checked the fuse in the panel (fuse pos. 13) under the steering wheel - it was good - I even replaced it with another fuse too. Still nothing...

Anyone got any ideas?? Thanks in advance... Happy Thanksgiving...

Sounds like a ground problem on the trailer side Check that first as most trailer wiring issues can actually be traced to grounds
