SQUEALING NOISE

WHEN EVER I TAKE OFF FROM A DEAD STOP I HEAR A SQUEALING NOISE ITS NOT CONSTANT IT GOES ON AND OFF IT SEEM TO ONLY SQUEAL WHEN MY TRUCK SHIFTS OR MAYBE I JUST THINK IT DOES WOULD A TRANNY MAKE A SQUEALING NOISE IF THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT? I ALSO THOUGHT MAYBE IT COULD BE THE BELT TENSIONER I HEARD THERE BAD A BOUT GOIN OUT ONT THE OLDER TRUCKS THIS TRUCK HAS LOST A BELT BEFORE ANY SUGGESTIONS

Its possible your belt is squealing. Yeah I have seen that posted up a few times about the tensioner being a part you want to replace after so many miles not sure off the top of my head.

The tensioners and idler pulleys are notorious for making noise. Most i have had go at about 100K to 150K miles.
