Effects of elevation on the turbo

I'm still trying to figure out why I'm having turbo surge problems all of a sudden, but I think elevation could be a factor. I've moved from NC which was 15ft above sea level to now TN where I'm sitting at 1350ft above sea level. That's a big difference...probably enough to cause surge issues that haven't been experienced before?

2001 F-250 7.3L Crew Cab 4x4
4" Rancho lift
35" Hankook Dynapro MTs
DP Tuner F6 Stock, 80 Economy, 60 Tow
Isspro EV2 Pyro, Boost, Tranny
Cold air intake
Diamond Eye 4" turbo back straight pipe
MBRP 6" tip
5K HID headlights and fog lights

I dont see that elevation being an issue at all. But its possible.. are you towing heavy? Get a wicked wheel and be done with it.

i regularly go from 8k to 4k within a couple hours and dont notice much difference at all.
