When I take a chip out of my truck do I have to go to the dealer to have it downloaded to stock or does it download automaticly. but took it out The guy I bought it from had a chip in when he traded it in. IT used to be a drag truck . any help would be appretiated. THanks

Why are you taking it out? Do you know what tunes are on the chip? Most have a stock setting that you could run it on while towing.

But anyways, all you need to do is unplug the chip and you'll be good to go.

Thanks. I didn't take it out. the guy I bought it from did. I'd like to get a new one and put I'm to increase my fuel mileage. Thanks for the info.
