Question Anti-Theft System Question

My '03 has the Ford anti-theft system. I don't know if there are different models or not, but here's my uneducated question:

If I unarm the system and don't start it soon my annoyingly placed little light/button starts to blink and I can't start it. I have to disarm it with my keypad to get it to start. Also if I just unlock a door the alarm will sound and I have to either disarm with the pad or turn the ingition key to disarm.

Is there a combination of button pushing, ignition turning and spinning in circles while hopping on one foot that I can do to disarm/allow my truck to start without using the keypad (I don't want to be screwed if I lose/forget the keypad or the keypad battery dies)? I've looked in my owner's manual and it doesn't talk about the anti-theft system at all. Is there anywhere on-line that has info on how my anti-theft system works or maybe a diagram so I can figure out how it's wired?

Thanks for any help.

The siren under the hood has a sticker and says Ford anti-theft system on it so I can only assume it's some kind of factory system. I'm not sure if they come from Ford that way or if a dealer installs them though.

How do I reset the alarm? I just bought a second keypad and recoded both pads where I look like an idiot and turn my ignition a bunch of times, push the remote buttons, lock and unlock my doors 18 times and then do a rain dance. Did you know that GM dealerships charge $50 to program a new remote (and that's after spending $50 to buy it)? What a ripoff for 24 seconds of work.

Anyway, is there a way to reset the alarm without disconnecting all my batteries?
