Glowshift Trans. Temp. gauge issue.... Help?
I installed a Tymar intake and Glowshift 3 gauge pod in my '02 Excursion yesterday. Everything looks good aside from the trans. temp. gauge. When I turn the key, the EGT and trans. temp. do their "test sweep" to the max. reading, the EGT goes down to the correct temp, but the trans. temp. gauge stays maxed out at 300* until you shut the truck off. Any ideas? .... BTW... It's Saturday and the GS tech line isn't open and I want to resolve this today if possible. Thanks for looking

For one thing glowshifts are crap, another, it sounds like one of your wires for the sender has a bad connection.

i dont know why everyone says they are crap?
they are priced for the entry level gauge set, i use a 3in1 and i do because i know of atleast 4 other people who do without problems for some time now |

They aren't as accurate as more expensive gauges and they fail more often. I know this from personal experience. If everyone says they are crap, i don't think everyone is wrong, there is probably a reason for that. You get what you pay for.

Lots of folks on here have and love them, myself included. Plenty of people with positive experience with Glowshift Support, too.
Definitely check your ground. |
