AUX cord

Is there a way to put in an auxiliary cord in the stock radio on a 2000 ? I saw a thread talking about this in the 6.0 section, but wasn't sure if it was the same. They were talking about pulling out the radio & putting some kind of adaptor in? How can this be done on a 2000?

I haVe an a adapter made by PIE www.pie.net that plugs into the cd changer port on the back of my stock CD-6 radio in my '01. It has a set of RCA inputs and I put a mini headphone to RCA cord on mine. This was originally for an XM radio, but works fine with my iPhone too.

I think the PIE FRDN-AUX is what you need. About $50 at some online stores
FRDN-AUX, ford auxiliary input, ipod to ford radio, ipod to car stereo, mp3 player to car stereo, rca input for ford, lincoln auxiliary input, mercury rca input,
