Good Deal on truck advice please

Hey Ya'll I'm lookin at buying my first diesel truck which is a 2003 lifted powerstroke fx4 with about 230k miles out in Oklahoma.

It has a 6" lift and 37's on it as well a tuner and cold air intake. Lastly an indash screen.

Guy is asking $15,500 for it. I was wondering if this is a good deal or the truck goes cheaper? He said I can have a mechanic check it out and that the only problem with it is cosmetically is the passenger seat is torn a bit. How does the price sound?

That would be a good price if it had 100K less miles on it.

Is it a 7.3 or 6.0?

That's what I was thinking. Price is high for the miles.

yeah we need to know more about the truck. I'll tell you right now 15,500 is way too high though. He is probally arguing that his lift and tires add more value to the truck. Tell him you never get even half of your money back from the add on's to a truck. Especially lift and tires. Im thinking like 10-12 if its in mint shape and well maintained.

no not a good price. I will never buy another lifted truck again because most people dont even remember what it is so buying parts is fun plus stuff wears out faster, that is a lot of miles offer him like 10-11k and thats if it drives good, tranny shifts good.
