7.3L Powerstroke P1280 code
I have a 2002 Ford Excursion Ltd with 220,000 miles. I got an engine warning light and read it with my unit I got from Harbor Freight Tools(model 99722). It read P1280, ICP Circ out of range low. $10 (not sure what $10 means) Does that mean I need to replace a $10 sensor?

I think it means you've got a $10 scanner
![]() And, unfortunately, they don't work on out trucks (they are not, strictly, OBD-II) Next bad news, ICP is gonna cost you a Lot more than that (if you really need one...) The light's ON so, Something's wrong, get it on a professional scanner maybe to know for sure what. In the mean time, go take a look at your ICP sensors plug and look for signs of engine oil that might have come from the sensor itself (they leak through as they fail) |
