White smoke out of exhaust in the morning?
Maybe once or twice a week when I start my truck (03 f250 7.3) there will be a great amount of white smoke that comes out of the exhaust. It was about 50 degree out this morning.
But after that there is no white smoke, its just when I start it, should I be concerned? |

Mine has been starting pretty hard the past couples week to and when it does finally start there is a huge cloud of whit smoke. But it doesn't do it when I plug it in. So I'm thinking my glow plugs or relay is about worn out. It's gotten down to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. You may be having a similar problem when I get it checked out I'll let you know. It sounds like a pretty similar problem. It's just gets a little colder up here

I'd say plugs as well. I don't have any of my plugs in working order and it will roll smoke like no other on a cool morning. Plug in the block heater over night and it fires right up with no smoke.

It a regular thing my 99 250 does it in the mornings too. I have tested all my glow plugs and they are all good so it just standard operation for them from what i have read on here. though id suggest cycling the glow plugs 2 or 3 times it might help a little

ohm your glows. if you need some, get them on ebay, motorcraft ZD11 or Beru only.

Mine did that when the glow plug relay kicked the bucket. I bet it's either that or plugs as others have mentioned. You can improve the relay with the Stancor relay mod.
