Not Sure whats happening?????

Today when i was driving to walmart i noticed that after i let off the break it would stick a little then after a bit id hear the what sounded like the break pedal moving then id feel the truck work less and drive easier. At one point i could feel a vibration in the wheel that would last about 3-4 seconds quit for 2-3 seconds then start agian and increased in intensity, till i heard the noise agian from what i think is the break pedal and things went back to normal. I checked the powerstearing fluid that is good, i checked the temprature by hand of all the rims to see which is warmest and all where approximitly the same temp, so i dont know what is going on. Hope some one on here does

Wouldn't sticking calipers cause the tire to be excsivly hot and cause a burning break smell?
