just to clarify if i have a e99 f250(7.3/AT) and i would like to up grade my engine computer i can put a computer from f25/f350 99.5-2001 in my truck and not get a check engine light or crazy codes? if so is a does it have to say PMT1 or PMT2 in the part # or is 1CF3-Z(A)(B) or (C) the same thing. thanks for the help trying to get the ole girl back on the road asap.

Get a PMT1. Thats the perfered pcm by the tuners.

No I have a spreadsheet of various pcm codes. But car-parts is where I got my pmt2 from.

Nope. Mines a e99 build 9/98 and I plugged a pmt2 from a 2001 truck and worked right off. No ses light or codes. The only code I got which is no biggie is the aih. E99 trucks do not have the aih.
