installing 31 row tranny cooler-help needed
i pulled my tru-cool out and replaced it with the 31 row. were i messed up is i failed to pay attention to the stock hose placement/connection. do the hoses have to connect a certain way? depending on which one feeds the cooler,i should have it run the longest line and save the shorter for the return fluid.
also, how did you guys go about routing the line? |

Won't make a noticable difference. Just plumb it so the transmission flows into the cooler on one side and out the other.

What I think matters is if you have a radiator cooler. You want to use the output of the rad to the external cooler. No need in cooling before you use the radiator.
Some of us do not have the radiator cooling and this does not matter. I need to get off my butt and get my cooler installed also. Mike |

job is done. i upgraded the frame clips to a 8mm and i used fender washers. that allowed me to make a bracket to route the lines and have enough screw for a tight fit.
i routed one line under the radiator and the other under the front frame. i zip tied all the lines and checked for leaks/rubbing. over all an easy install. i ordered some -8 AN fittings and compression line. my goal is to run everything higher and flow better. i added 2 qts right away. anything i missed? |
