Overdrive Issue????

I'm new to this forum as of today, looks like a lot of info on the powerstrokes
This may have been an issue with some of you so hoping I can figure this out with some help from all of you

Problem is sometimes when I first start my truck (2000 F-350,7.3 L Auto.)
my overdrive light on shifter button is blinking , When I put the truck in drive and take off , my speedometor, odometer, cruise don't work . I can stop the truck ,turn off ignition and start all over and it will work correctly ,everything
works. Has anyone had this to happen and what is causing this . The other day I started the truck took off and I noticed the overdrive light was staying on , Couldn't change it by the button on shifter and the overdrive didn't kick in. Stopped, turned off ignition started over put shifter in drive went on my way no issues , What in the H### is going on ... any help would be usefull
