could anyone tell me what a good price to pay for an early 1999 complete powerstroke engine with 165k on it is?

what do you mean by "complete"? long block? long block with injectors, hpop, etc? complete drop in?

complete drop in i would say 2000 - 2500 is a good price
long block with injectors and hpop 1k to 1.5k

just my opinion. you can get a reman long block with forged rods and gaskets for 3100.
