Door ajar light stays on

In my 01 Extended cab the door ajar light has started to stay on all the time. I have done everything i know to do to try and fix it with out any success. Any body else have this problem, and has anyone actually fixed it before?

mine used to stay on once in a while, I sprayed a bunch of WD40 in the door latch (on the door ) and that was enough to keep the sensor unstuck.

X2 on the WD40. The Doorlatch on both my F150 and my F250 did this. I am not sure why it does this...I have never inspected further than that, but I know that is an issue on Ford Trucks.
