I was driving my wifes 99 today. When i get on it i get a little black smoke which is normal. When i get off the pedal(quickly) loads of black smoke? why?
all stock
Black smoke is just from overfueling/unburnt fuel.So when you let off quickly from accelerating there is still a increased amount of fuel pumped into the cylinders for a short period of time while the engine is slowing down. Just my thought on your situation i could be wrong but it defantly deals with your amount of fuel in some way
i just paid attention to mine in the mirror while shifting gears (i have a 6spd manual)... and it does the same thing...no problems though, i like the black smoke
mine does the same thing, i have a e99 it does a haze when wot and then when i let off it dump a little bit. i did it tonight lol i use the other peoples head lights to check my air to fuel with is more fuel lol, i need a bigger turbo...
