4r100 trans

Im looking to beef up the trans and get nice firm shifts on a 01 7.3l 4x4 with 72k miles. Truck is stock for now put will get a 6 position chip soon and just mainly looking to prolong the life of the 4r100. Is a BTS valve body a good idea along a 6.0l cooler. Any recommendations or anyone have any good feedback.

Flush the trans fluid, install a good valve body (JW or BTS are both great) and the 6.0 cooler your 4R100 should last a long long time.

Just make sure you get your chip/tuner matched to your mods so you don't have excessive line pressure.

We have the BTS VB's and would also recomened a 6.0 Tq converter to go with it. Have both.
Install a 31 row 6.0 trans cooler and your set.
