7.3 oil coiler question
I hear alot of trouble with the 6.0 oil coolers, I wonder if I should replace my oil cooler in my 7.3 at some point , I have 200k and have had no problems but it seems like it may be way over due. thanks in advance for for any help.

Well, I have looked into this a little as it appears mine has a slow, external leak.
A new one is ~$240. (From RifRaf) A Gasket re-build kit is $70. (From Guzzle) If you are not having any issues I would NOT mess with it, (IMHO) but I know I am looking at a rebuild ASAP on mine, and I hope to do the Oil Cooler Gasket Rebuild AND ELC Coolant swap at the same time as my next oil change.... at 100,000 miles. *crosses fingers* |

Ok, Thanks, I have no leaks so I guess I will leave it alone until i have an issue. I was getting worried that our oil coolers may clog like the ones on the 6.0s
