Tranny slips

I think between 2-3 and will go into gear kind of hard. it doesnt do it all the time but i want to fix it with out getting a new trannie at this time will a shift kit fix this are they hard to install. im driving from Montana to Cali at the end of this month not a hard drive but dont want any problems.Thanks

Someone a lot more qualified than I will most likely be around later in the day. I know very little about Auto Trannies.

im not saying this is good but mine has been doing that for a while and i have driven it like 10k still no probs. when i use my programer / dp tuner that helps it a lot i dont notice it doing it since i have had my dp tuner.
