camshaft ????
Hey guys. I'm trying to find a camshaft for my 7.3. Every search I do comes back with about 99% camshaft position senor bad and 1% about how you don't need a performance cam. Does anyone know if this camshaft is the same as the powerstroke?
Seems like somewhere I remember reading that the t444e had a different grind for more torque. I have to have a camshaft because mine is flaking. 7.3L FORD F250 F350 POWERSTROKE DIESEL ENGINE CAMSHAFT | eBay

So let me get this right. You dont need the position sensor (which should be free from Ford due to recall)
And you are looking for a performance cam? I know cams, well, I know gas cams. So if you are looking for a performance cam, you will really need a custom grind due to the fact your motor is a turbo motor and diesel. I can get into details but it might not be nessisary if that isnt what you are going after. |

Bump! No one has a camshaft for a 7.3 Powerstroke or knows where to find one except ford? This thing must be extinct.

Call Summit, they will get a cam for you, even if they dont list it.

A cammed 7.3. Now there's an interesting notion. I've cammed gassers, and I'm about to cam my TDI, but a cammed 7.3 would certainly be interesting.... I wonder what kind of numbers could be put down with a cam on this thing. I'd love to have an increase in hp/tq/curve/mpg. I bet it would be a bastard swapping cams on this thing though.

Well from the OP's post I think he just needs a factory replacement... anyway that'd be a nasty sounding 7.3 lol.

Are you wanting just an OEM cam or a performance cam? I'm assuming from your sig your truck is mostly stock so you are looking for a stock one is so email Ryan@partingoutdieselmotors.com he is in GA and buys a LOT of engines and then tears em down and parts them out and would probably have one in good shape you could use... If you are looking for a performance cam they really aren't beneficial unless you have a good bit of mods done but contact diesel innovations they have custom regrind cams there's a few other companies that do it as well but it's slips my mind at the time

I know Matt@Gearhead has a couple different cams he offers. And i don't think the prices are to bad on em.
