Squeak in Front end

I have a squeak in the front end when I turn. It all started after I hit a nice pothole in the road. It's something up front, when I just turn the steering wheel it will squeak. It does both ways left and right. We thought it was from the front ball joint, we put some liquid grease in to see if it would go away. But it didn't. What else could it be????????
