Ebay trannies?

So I have decided to start putting some money away to save for a new tranny when my stock one goes. But I was cruising ebay and noticed that there are some trannies on there that are warrantied. The Pheonix tranny caught my eye the most with billet parts. Has anyone tried these? Are they capable of handling any power?

I plan on saving for the BTS tranny but it is alot of money, if I could find something that was comaparable for less money I would be very interested. I don't plan on needing a lot of tranny but one day I would like to reach the 400hp mark.

You can get a Reman tranny and torque converter from Ford for $2035 with a 3 year 75,000 warranty. That is what I did about 8,000 miles ago and it is going good so far. If it goes out before 3 years I plan to get another one under warranty and go ahead and put a good converter and valve body in it. If it doesn’t go out then I’ll be even happier. If it lasts just over 3 years and goes out then I’ll probably spring twice as much for a BTS but my billfold won’t be happy.

Another route to go in is Jasper. They have what the call a "Monster Box" that will supposedly hold around 500rwhp. I deal with them on a weekly basis and have been talking to the trans dept about one in the future for mine. I have not gotten a price yet but they are in the process of putting together a sheet with a list of all the parts that go into it. I know for sure that they work closely with Sonnex on development of stuff for the valve body and they use a triple disc TC. As soon as I get more info I will pass it on to anyone who is interested. If I can figure out how to do it I will write up an article on the tranny's and post any pics I can legally.

If it was me I would save my money and buy a BTS transmission.

Its looking like I need to just save for the BTS, but I am interested in the Jasper. If you get anymore info please pass it along.
