Angry Trans referral in So Cal-4R100

Looks like my tranny is dust.



I know the John Wood tranny is the best in this area, but I'd sure like to find something a little less spendy.

Any referrals?

Mine drain plug in mine looked like that when i did a maintenance on it. Does that mean mine is going out too?

Get a JW tow master .

As asked above why do you think its toast..how many miles total and when did you last service the trans?

CT-thanks for the response.

I will likely end up with a Towmaster.

I didn't see where anyone asked above about the service. However, it was serviced in the last 20K and the fluid was fine when checked a few weeks preceding my recent project......a link to that post follows which also allows you to hear the noise.

Engine noise....

I believe the TC is falling apart, but there's no real way to know that until the tranny is removed and torn down.

Based upon the noise, glitter in trans fluid and picture of the pan, what diagnoses or recommendation would you be able to provide?

Towmaster installed, noise gone.

Next project will be injectors.
